Supporting families during COVID-19

Donate now

In South Africa, the impact of COVID-19 is being felt across the country.

As businesses close in response to government restrictions, individuals and families are losing their incomes. Families are struggling to provide food.

Some of the most impacted communities are in the townships sounding Cape Town and Plettenberg Bay, the communities where the academies we support are based. Our academies are also closed whilst the lockdown – and the effects that follow – continues.

We are launching an emergency appeal to support the families use our academies to ensure they can continue to prepare nutritious, healthy and filling food. We’re also launching two new fundraising campaigns that you can get involved in at home to get your family and friends.

Dye your hair!

Why not dye your hair a colour of the rainbow (or all 7 colours!) and donate £10 to the Buffalo Foundation, or skip the colour and donate £25!

If you choose to dye your hair  why not upload a picture to social media, tag The Buffalo Foundation Facebook or Instagram page, and nominate 3 people to follow suit.

Haircut Challenge

Inspired by the “DIY’ lockdown haircuts, we’re asking CEOs and leaders to challenge their teams – and their hairstyles –  in support of the Buffalo Foundation!

Set  a fundraising target and, once your team have reached it, cut your hair into a Mohican style (or a style of your team’s choice). To keep the challenge going, nominate a CEO in your network to follow suit.
