Two riders. One Epic Journey.
Two riders. One Epic Journey.
We’ve got two incredible riders taking on the Absa Cape Epic – the world’s toughest mountain bike race! But this isn’t just about the race—it’s about riding for a cause.
Meet Sipho & Maso – two incredible individuals who are taking on the Absa Cape Epic to raise funds and give back to the next generation of riders.
Maso has been a part of our program since 2014, and over the years, he’s grown into a young man with a passion and drive like no other. Having already completed two Cape Epics, Maso’s journey is a testament to resilience. Coming from a previously disadvantaged community, he’s used his determination to not only pursue his dream of becoming a professional rider but also to earn a degree in sports management and work as a gym instructor.
Sipho, his coach and mentor, has been a guiding light for many young riders at the Kwano Academy. Partnering with Maso for this epic challenge, Sipho is pushing his limits while giving back to the community that helped shape him.
This duo is not just riding for themselves – they are raising funds to support their brothers and sisters back home, giving them the platform and opportunity to dream big and chase their own futures.
Every pedal, every mile they ride, is for a cause that goes beyond the race. It’s for the youth, for the dreamers, and for the chance to make a lasting impact in their communities.
